What is Maintenance IQ?

Maintenance IQ is an industrial CMMS platform for factories and shop floors. It connects work orders, preventive maintenance, assets, calibration, downtime, parts, cost, immutable compliance evidence, mobile execution, condition monitoring, and reliability analytics, with licensable vertical modules for foundry and food production.

Does it work offline on the shop floor?

Maintenance IQ ships as an installable PWA with an offline app shell, so the tools stay loaded across a flaky-signal floor. Technicians scan QR and barcode asset codes, capture photos and files, and complete typed checklists. Full offline work-order execution and background sync are on the roadmap, not live today.

What does condition monitoring do?

You set warning and critical limits on each monitored asset parameter. Readings are logged by hand or pushed from a PLC, SCADA, or IoT gateway through a token-authed ingest API, and each reading is classified the instant it lands: warnings alert the right users and criticals auto-open a deduplicated breakdown. The asset Monitoring tab adds a health banner, sparkline, min/avg/max/σ, a threshold-band trend chart, stale-sensor detection, and an immutable reading log. A linear “time to limit” projection estimates when a parameter will reach its limit at the current trend — threshold alerts plus a straight-line drift projection, not machine-learning failure prediction.

Does Maintenance IQ calculate OEE?

Yes — Overall Equipment Effectiveness (Availability × Performance × Quality), per machine and across the plant. Availability is derived automatically from the breakdowns you log in Maintenance IQ; you add a quick per-shift production count — ideal rate, units made, good units, planned minutes — for Performance and Quality. You get the OEE score, the A/P/Q loss breakdown that shows which loss to attack, a daily trend, a shift-by-shift log, and a worst-OEE asset ranking on the Reliability page, all without standing up a separate MES or wiring sensors. The math is transparent and auditable: a machine that ran zero minutes reads 0, missing inputs read “—” rather than a guessed number, and impossible readings are flagged as data-entry issues. Capture today is a manual shift log; automatic production counts from a PLC line counter, via the same token-authed ingest used for condition monitoring, are on the roadmap.

Can it handle food lot traceability and recall?

Yes, on the Food SKU. It builds raw-material to finished-product lot genealogy with trace-back, trace-forward, and mass balance, produces a one-click mock-recall PDF, and runs recall drills that log time-to-trace and a recall-effectiveness percentage. It is the traceability engine, not an MRP or production-planning system, and it feeds Section 13 of the FSSC 22000 pack.

Which compliance standards has shipped evidence packs?

Standard-mapped evidence packs ship today for VDA 6.3, IATF 16949, and FSSC 22000, with a Compliance Gaps Summary, readiness score, and live pre-generation scorecard, frozen as immutable records and downloaded via signed URL. ISO 55001 is on the roadmap. The platform does not claim third-party certification unless your organization holds it.

Is there a free trial?

Yes. A self-serve three-day trial gives full access instantly. When it ends the workspace becomes read-only with an in-app path to contact sales or remind an admin, and a super-admin can extend it.

How does it handle multiple sites and teams?

Access is governed by a configurable role × feature × action permission matrix, enforced on the backend for every action including reads. Members are scoped to the factories and departments they belong to, assignment is factory-scoped, and a “My Team” view follows your reporting line so a manager sees direct reports’ queues and an admin sees the whole org. (Single sign-on / SAML is not offered today.)

How are vertical modules different from generic CMMS features?

Vertical modules add industry-specific checklists, asset taxonomies, audit evidence, KPI views, and workflows on top of the shared CMMS core. Foundry and Food are shipped, productized SKUs, so teams do not have to force a horizontal work-order app into foundry or food-safety requirements.

How is this different from a generic CMMS?

Generic CMMS tools usually stop at horizontal work orders and schedules. Maintenance IQ combines mobile-first execution, condition monitoring with auto-opened breakdowns, immutable compliance evidence, reliability analytics, and shipped industry verticals in one platform.
